Gasses Sought For Members

The suggestion that first aid and home nursing classes be held'for members of the Oxford sub-centre of the Red Cross Society, was made at the sub-centre’s recent annual ' meeting. Johnston) said, that £126 had been -sent to the North Canterbury centre for various appeals. The Junior Red Cross circle had sent £6, with articles of clothing, scrap books and three quilts. Subbranch membership had increased to 101. Junior membership was now. 45, the report said. The president of the Warren KerirKeri Sewing Circle (Mrs H. H. Cederman) said that 170 articles of clothing and two quilts had been sent to the centre during the year. Mrs D. J. Wales gave a talk on the organisation Of Red Cross throughout. the world and on the recent Dominion conference held in Wellington. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mrs M. H. Johnston; . vice-presidents, Mesdames F. - T. Gorton, J. Skurr and A. P. Boyle; secre-tary-treasurer,. Mrs C. Acland and M. Jennings; committee, Mesdames K. Henderson, A. B. BooghmanS, E. Bottomer, D. McGrath, and Miss W. Cornyns; school liaison officer, Mrs A. P. Boyle.
