(N.Z, Press Assn.—Copyright) DUNEDIN, March 18. D. F. Gerrard (Otago), in a solo attempt at Dunedin tonight, broke his own national 220 yards butterfly record by l.Osec, with a time of 2min 14.1 sec. He covered 200 metres in 2min 13.5 sec, but this was still outside the Olympic qualifying standard of 2mln 12sec.
