No Landing By Muttonbirder

(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Mar. 16. Rough weather south of Stewart Island has prevented the Government vessel Wairua from landing 17 muttonbirders on Poutama Island. They were brought back to Bluff when the Wairua returned last night after spending most of the five days she was away sheltering in Easy harbour on the south coast of Stewart Island. Another attempt to land them will be made on Wednesday.
