Hurt When Rig Fell Over Cliff
When a well digging rig went over a cliff at Robinson’s Bay, Banks Peninsula, on Saturday afternoon the operator jumped clear but suffered head injuries. He is William Douglas Shannon, of 53A Brynley street, Hornby. He was taken to the Akaroa Hospital and was later transferred to the Christchurch Hospital.
