Reprimand, Our Jimmy To Race In U.S.

The New Zealand owner, Mr Noel Simpson, who recently bought Great Credit for racing in the United States, has bought two more New Zealand horses, Reprimand and Our Jimmy, for undisclosed four ■ figure amounts. Great Credit and Our Jimmy are to leave by air today for America and Reprimand is to follow later by ship. Our Jimmy, a trotter, gained seven wins for his Winton owners, Mr and Mrs H. Jenkins. A 10-year-old gelding by Good Report from Turi Queen, he has been trained at Addington by R. Young. This season Our Jimmy has not won,, but has gained a number of good placings, including thirds in the New

Zealand Trotting Free-for-all at the cup meeting at Addington in November and the Canterbury Park Trotting Cup on December 31. Reprimand, also a trotter, won 10 races for his Riccarton owner-trainer, J. A. R. Hampton, including the New Zealand Trotting Free-for-all at Addington. Two of his wins were at Epsom this season. An 11-year-old, Reprimand is an entire by Court Martial from Barbara Worth. Mr Simpson, a New Zealander now living in Wales, races a number of New Zea-land-bred horses in England, Australia and America. The sale to him of Our Jimmy and Reprimand was arranged by the National Mortgage and Agency Company, Ltd., and Wright Stephenson and Company, Ltd. Another overseas purchase of New Zealand horses has been made by the Paramatta Livestock Agency, of Sydney, which has bought the six-year-old trotter, Frogman, and the unraced Golden Tryax and Le Paradis. Golden Tryax, a qualified three-year-old gelding, is by Hal Tryax from Golden Memories. He was owned by Messrs K. J. Kennedy and H. Gamble and trained at Templeton by K. Purdon. Le Paradis, a two-year-old gelding by Garrison Hanover by Ariel Queen, was being prepared by W. M. Denton at Yaldhurst.
