Yogi Berra Cost 275gns

Yogi Berra, the winner of the Great Northern Stakes at Alexandra Park last night, cost his Otahuhu owner-trainer. F. Mirando, 275gns at last year’s yearling sales. A gelding by the 1953 New Zealand Cup winner, Adorian, from the Dillon Hall mare, Wyvern, he was bred at Geraldine by Mr J. Slack. Yogi Berra was runner-up to Glen Direct in the Waikato Futurity Stakes at his only start.
