N.Z. Women Invited To Enter World Golf Titles

PALM. NORTH, Feb. 18. An invitation has been received by the New Zealand Women’s Golf Union to enter a team in the world amateur women’s championship to be held at the St. Germain Golf Club In Paris on October 1 to 4. .
While the union is keen to send a team, the Tasman Cup match between Australia and New Zealand is due to be played in New Zealand on October 16 and 17 in Manawatu, and word is awaited on whether Australia will
send a team to Paris or New Zealand, There is also the question of finance as last year the union sent a team to Australia for the Commonwealth Tournament. . The Russell Grace Cup inter-provincial tournament will be held at the Christchurch Golf Club’s course at Shirley on May 26 to 28 The Otago Golf Club (Balmacewen) will stage the New Zealand championships from October 21 and 28. The programme is planned to be less strenuous than last year.
