Christchurch Airport
Sir, —The approach to Christchurch International Airport is surely one of the most beautiful to any airport in New Zealand; yet a few months ago the airport authority painted the concrete kerbing of the roundabout and surrounding roads at the airport entrance a vile yellow —the first sight to confront visitors. Fortunately, they either ran out of paint or some member of the authority with an eye to beauty, stopped the painting operation before the kerbs of all the roads round the terminal area could be likewise painted.
