Plunket Nurse In Hurunui Area

The Hurunui Plunket nurse travelled 12.247 miles during last year according to her report to a recent meeting of the Hurunui branch of the society.

The nurse had 1561 visits from babies at the clinic rooms, and she paid 873 visits to babies at their homes. She gave 360 telephone consultations.

There were 173 new babies seen by the nurse, 91 of’ which were being breast-fed : while 72 were being artificially fed. The remaining 10 were being complemented. The number of pre-school children under supervision was 368 while there were 524 babies completely immunised by their first birthdays.
