Pukaki On Way South

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 18. The frigate, Pukaki. is due at the isolated New Zealand weather station on Campbell Island tomorrow morning with a load of supplies which range from six bags of mail to a ton of potatoes. Later, the Pukaki will steam further south to take up her position on the weather station 900 miles south of New Zealand. She will send back reports on which United States Navy flights between New Zealand and the Antarctic will be based.

The Pukaki's patrol is her second this year and will be ‘he last of the current summer season. She is due back at Dunedin on March 3.
