Summer Sundaes

Sundaes can be quickly and simply made, using the fallowing basic ideas with your own individual variations: — Ice cream in various flavours with layers of fresh fruit that has been lightly crushed, mixed with sugar and a little liqueur (optional), then left to stand; top with cream. Alternate layers of two ice creams, say, coffee and orange or vanilla and chocolate, topped with a chocolate, butterscotch or jam sauce and chopped nuts or flaked chocolate.

Alternate layers of chopped or whipped jelly, fruit and ice cream. From “Good Housekeeping.”
