Both the United States and Canadian dollars gained on. the £ last week in contrast• to other changes which were few but in favour of the £. Altered telegraphic transfer exchange rates as advised yesterday by the Bank of New South Wales:-, New Zealand on— New. York: buying, 2.7927 dollars to £N.Z. (compared with 2.7933 dollars on February 10): selling, 27611 dollars (2.7617). Canaday 3.0167 dollars (3.0177): 2.9782 dollars (2.9792). Belgium: 140 0 francs (139.90): 137.0 francs (136.90). Austria: 72.58 schillings (72 57): 71.04 schillings (71.02). Denmark: 19.43 crowns (19.42): 19 02 crowns (19.01). Sweden: 14.57 crowns (same): 14 25 crowns (14.26). Switzerland: 12.15 francs (12.14); 11.89 francs (11.87).
