Big Sharks In Shallows
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 17. Five sharks have been sighted in the last three days, weaving between pleasure craft anchored only yards off the popular Bucklands Beach in the Tamaki estuary, near Auckland.
Aucklanders, ignorant of any danger, swam at the beach.
But local residents were keeping a close watch for the sharks, all between seven and eight feet in length. They have been seen swimming in water three feet deep. Children have been warned to keep clear of deep water.
