FOUR UNHURT IN CRASH
Light Aircraft In Hawke’s Bay NAPIER, February 17. Four people climbed practically unharmed from a light aircraft that crashed just after taking off ■ from the i Hawke’s Bay airport about I 8.30 a.m. yesterday. The plane, a Piper Cherokee, owned by Aircraft Hire.' Ltd., and valued at about" £6OOO, was extensively damaged. Those on board were:— The pilot, Charles Selwyn Carlyle, aged 27, of 6 George street, Papakura, and another: Aucklander, James Dudfield. I aged 21, of Warkworth. Both escaped with a shaking; .and two Napier boys. Anthony Streeter, aged 12, and John Litt, aged 11. Streeter received a grazed back, but Little was not hurt.
