FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A weak, slow moving front lies over central New Zealand and anti-cyclones are centred to the north and south of it. A deep depression in the south Tasman is moving quickly south-eastwards and it? associated frontal system is moving towards the south of the South IslandForecast: Canterbury.—North-easterlies, mainly moderate but fresh at times about the coast; cloudy night and morning, otherwise fine, with mild to warm temperatures. Outlook: similar conditions. Marlborough and Nelson.—Light, variable winds gradually becoming moderate northerlies; cloudy, with a few showers at first soon clearing to mainly fine and warm. Outlook: partly cloudy and warm. Buller and Westland.—Light, variable winds; partly cloudy and mild. Outlook: similar conditions.
