N.Z. WOMAN DIPLOMAT

Bangkok Post "The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND, Jan. 28. The post of Second Secretary at the New Zealand Embassy in Bangkok is to be filled by Miss Natalie England, of Auckland, one of the few New Zealand women to hold a diplomatic post overseas. Aged 34, Miss England is at present on her way to Bangkok. Miss England began her diplomatic career in New York about nine years ago when she was attached to the office of the New Zealand Consultate - General. She went overseas to teach and after a year at schools in England she went to New York, where she applied for a job with the New Zealand diplomatic service. After three years in New York, Miss England spent three years in Paris as administration officer and ViceConsul For the last three years, Miss England has been working with the External Affairs Department in Wellington.
