No Ruling Yet On Hay Cartage

HAMILTON, Jan. 24. Waikato Federated Farmers will continue to transport hay north by rail until the Government reaches some decision on road transport, said Mr R. Woolerton, president of the Waikato branch of Federated Farmers today. Mr Woolerton said he had no reply yet to representations made to the Government to allow the cartage of hay by truck. The Transport Department has refused permission for trucks, going north to collect stock cattle, to take loads of hay to country affected by drought.
