Mr H. A. Fleming has been appointed a member of the Duvauchelle Domain Board. He replaces the late Mr D. Vogan. Mr V. O’Donoghue has taken up his duties as inspector of health, Christchurch health district, in place of Mr R. A. Ruskin, who has been appointed health inspector. Waimairi County Council. Mr O’Donoghue was formerly inpector of health in the Wanganui health district.

Dr. G. B. Peterson, of Palmerston North, is included in a group of seven overseas post-doctoral fellows appointed to continue their education and training in special areas of medicine at the Harvard Medical School.—(P.A.)

Mr A. N. Kennard, district public trustee at Wellington, has been appointed assistant Public Trustee. He will succeed Mr D. Campbell who was recently appointed Public Trustee.—(P.A.)

Mr S. M. Cameron has been appointed senior orthopaedic surgeon to the North Canterbury Hospital Board, a new position. He was previously orthopaedic surgeon to the board. Mr J. G. Lester has been appointed orthopaedic surgeon in place of Mr Cameron. Mr Lester, a New Zealand doctor who was formerly a house surgeon at the Christchurch Hospital, is at present on the staff of the Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge.
