Noumea Drought Critical
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NOUMEA (New Caledonia), January 23.

If no rains falls within the next few weeks the dangerously low level of the hydro-electric complex may mean closing the power house and consequently the electric smelting works.
