Satinette’s Easy Win “The Press” Special Service ALEXANDRA. Jan. 13. ■Hie Satinette-Mangus bracket, in the White Memorial Hack Handicap, and Andalusia, in the Lochella Challenge Cup, was a popular double at Omahau today when the Vincent Jockey Club concluded its annual meeting. The combination paid £6 5c 6d for £l. Andalusia had to survive a prolonged inquiry into alleged interference to the second leg. Sattoette gave R. J. Skelton his first winning ride at the meeting when she scored a decisive win in the White Memorial. Sattoette was bracketed with the first day winner, Mangus, and the combination was a firm favourite. Satinette is trained on the course by B. R. Thomson for Messrs N. and J. White, of Omakau. Sattoette, which had the run of the race, worked clear at the straight entrance and drew away to win untested by five lengths. West Bound, the outsider of the field, was second two lengths ahead of the well supported Highland Fair. Andalusia, which is trained at Wtogatul by D. G. O’Neill for Mr J. M. Lauriston completed a double for the meeting. On the first day she had shared winning honours with Allez Vite in the Moran Challenge Cup. The meeting was held under ideal conditions before a good attendance. The on-course turnover was £28,487 compared with £26,179 10s on the corresponding day last year, ah increase of £2307 10s. On-course investments for the meeting were £62,618 against £57-510, an increase of £5lOB. Results:— VINCENT HIGH-WEIGHT, £265; Ijm.— l/2 FLISK (3) 9-11 W. J. Hillis 1; 3/3 FIELDMASTER (4) 9-8 B. T.
