Obituary MR W. J. GILBERT
(N.Z. Press Association) WANGANUI, January 13. Mr William James Gilbert, of St. Jolrn’s Hill, died on Saturday, aged 63. He held wide business interests in Wanganui. He was governing director of Maypole Stores, Ltd., which was founded by his father, a director of the Wanganui Shipping Company, Ltd., and Peerless Products, Ltd, and a director and former chairman of directors of the Western Building Society. Mr Gilbert was also a foundation director of Greyhound Buses, Ltd., and a foundation director of the Wanganui Savings Bank. He is survived by his wife and a daughter, and two sons.
