A WATER TAXI HYDROFOIL, a small version of the type to be used for public transport across the English Channel, being tested on the river Thames, at Chelsea. Hydrofoil boats, which rise clear of the water and travel on skis at about 40 miles an hour, are expected to be used in a passenger service between London and Ostend in the spring.
