(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 12. The New Zealand cricket captain, J. R. Reid, hit a hurricane 100 when the Wellington senior club competition was resumed yesterday. He smashed his way to 50 in only 19 minutes and 100 in 72. All but four of his first 54 runs came from boundaries. St. Patrick’s Old Boys 224 (H. A. Morgan 75; J. B. Park six for 62), University 106. Kilbirnie 342 for five declared (J. E. F. Beck 116 not out, B. W. Sinclair 77, D. O. Neely 59), Wellington 128 for six (G. A. Snowden 50, L, C. Butler four for 19). Wellington College Old Boys 221 (C. Deacon 91; J. S. J. Parson five for 75) Karori 246 for eight (J. R. Reid 100, J. E. Hammel 66). Midland 202 for eight declared (I. H. Ching 71), Onslow 75 (N. A. Huxford seven for 37) and two for 81. Batsmen dominated the bowling in the Hutt Valley competition. I. P. Upston and L. F. Downes. carried Eastern from a sorry 37 for seven to 236 with a whirlwind eighth-wicket stand of 191 in 110 minutes. Scores Eastern 236 (L. F. Downes 99, I. P.
