AMERICAN ANTARCTIC LEADERS VISIT RUSSIAN BASE.—The United States naval support force commander, Rear-Admiral J. R. Reedy, and Dr. T. O. Jones, director of the United States Antarctic Research Programme, flew from McMurdo Station last Thursday to Mirny, the main Russian base in the Antarctic.
