More Wheat Sold

(N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) WASHINGTON, January 11. The United States Government issued licences yesterday for the sale of an additional 104 million dollars [worth of wheat to the Soviet Union. This raised the total of proposed shipments of wheat to Russia and her satellites to about 300 million dollars. The Commerce Department, in announcing the latest ‘authorisations, said the 104 million covers five proposed sales. All but 29 million dollars worth of the wheat has been earmarked for shipment to Russia. The total amount sold was estimated about 150,000,000 bushels.
