Canterbury’s top player, J. Armstrong (Eagles) has established a lead over D. D. M. Stewart (University) on the points table in the senior table tennis competition. After 10 competition matches Armstrong has won 27 of his 30 singles matches and is ahead of Stewart, who has 25 victories.
Other top scorers are R. B. McCallum (Selwyn ID with 21 wins, A. Vermes (Selwyn I) 20, Mrs T. May (Selwyn I) 18, R. G. Hart (Wallabies I) 18, M. A. Cox (Wallabies I) 18, J. Pierce (Avonside) 17, IT. B. Radford (Wallabies ID 16, P. J. Ives (Eagles) 14, R. Sanderson (Selwyn I) 13, D. J. Kalin (Dallington) 12, M. Flewellen (Avonside) 12, and V. N. Brightwell (Selwyn I) 11.
