Nearly Reached 100
(N.Z, Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Dec. 26. Southland’s oldest resident, Mrs Elizabeth Francis, of Conon street, Invercargill, died this morning. She would have been 100 on January 4. Mrs Francis came to Southland at the age of eight with her parents from County Cork. Ireland. She spent the rest of her life in the province.
