The United States .had told India that no additional FlO4 supersonic fighters would be supplied to Pakistan as part of American arms aid, Mr Lakshmi Menon, Minuter of State for External Affairs, told Parliament today. The Minister was asked in the Lower House about the outcome of talks between the Indian Ambassador in Washington (Mr B. K. Nehru) and the Secretary of State (Mr Dean Rusk) “in connexion with the supply of two additional squadrons of FlO4 supersonic fighters to Pakistan.” The United States Government “have clarified that they have no intention of giving Pakistan any additional FlO4 supersonic planes," Mr Menon said.
