Dental Nurse Training

Applications total 525—a record — tor student positions ®ext yea r in the schools for dental nurses at Auckland. Wellington, and Christchurch. This was announced today by Dr. G. H. Leslie, director t>f the Dental Division, Department of Health. Very few applicants had been considered unsuitable after an interview, but because only 175 could be taker, tor training in March many would be disappointed. ‘ Because of keen competition for vacancies remaining in the September. 1964. intake at Wellington. Dr. Leslie said, further appointments would act be made until the results of thia year's school certificate examinations were known in January.
