WITNESS TO OFFENCE

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) TAHOE VALLEY, Dec. 11. John Foss, aged 26, the only witness to the kidnapping of Frank Sinatra, jun., was released from protective custody today. Foss was Sinatra’s roommate and was in the motel room when the son of the millionaire entertainer was abducted last Sunday night. “He (Foss) has given us information which is very beneficial in this case,” the El Dorado county sheriff, Mr Ernest Carlson, said. Foss, a musician in the Tommy Dorsey band, with which young Sinatra had been appearing, was left bound and gagged by the two gunmen who kidnapped Sinatra at the resort.
