GOLD CUP POLO
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, Dec. 12. The Australiasian Gold Cup polo tournament, which has been allocated to New Zealand for 1964. is expected to be played at Claudelands on March 14 and 15. Three New Zealand teams may oppose New South Wales. Northern members of the New Zealand Polo Association’s management committee made this recommendation at a meeting at Cambridge. It was unaniously recommended the Savile Cup tournament, originally scheduled for March 9-14, be altered to March 2-7. The projected South African polo tour of New Zealand from mid-January to mid-February, will not take place.
