Ocean Survey In Pacific

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec 11. Surveys being conducted by the small French minesweeper. La Dunkerquoise, which arrived in Auckland from Noumea today have nothing to do with the proposed French nuclear bomb tests in the Pacific, the captain of the vessel, LieutenantCommander G. Brosset, said today. The 390-ton ship is measuring currents, salinity and temperature layers in various sections of the Pacific, he said.

The ship will stay here until Saturday, when it will return to Noumea, stopping every six miles to take temperature readings and samples.
