TERM LOANS FUNDS
Almost All Committed
Virtually the whole of the funds available for term loans have now been committed. but more than £lm has yet to be taken up. according to a New Zealand Bankers' Association Research Directorate news release. In recent months the demand for these loans have been brisk. However, the demand for export finance under the related scheme has not been so great and only two-thirds of the money available has been committed so far.
A £Bm build-up of trading bank note holdings took place in November in preparation for Christmas.
Average overdrafts for November were down £lm but advances, seasonally corrected, showed a small rise. They are now £l4m or 7 per cent higher than last year. The aggregate value of cheques cleared in November was 26 per cent higher than in November last year.
Regent Mot. Year.— Regent Motors (Holdings), Ltd.. Melbourne, achieved a satisfactory increase in trading results during the past financial year. Net profit for the year, previously reported, rose from £48.102 to £70,233.
