YOUTH DIES IN HOSPITAL

Collapse On Farm A youth, aged 16, from Ashburton, collapsed while grubbing tussock for the North Canterbury Nasseila Tussock Board at Motunau on Thursday He died later the same day in the Christchurch Hospital without regaining consciousness The vouth was Clive Stephen Nicholas HilHam, of Greenstreet, Ashburton. An inquest into his death was opened before the Christchurch Coroner (Mr A. T. Bell) yesterday and was adjourned sine die after evidence of identification had been given. A post-mortem examination was ordered TY<e youth was in a gang grubbing tussock in a gully on the property of W. Elliott and Son. It is thought he might have been overcome by heat as the temperature at the time was in the mideighties. He was taken to the Christchurch Hospital by the St Jdm ambulant j service.
