Share Trading Closes Week On Steady Note

Share trading on the New Zealand stock exchanges closed the week yesterday on a steady note, with New Zealand shares showing more than twice as many rises as falls and overseas issues 10 rises to only one fall. Best gains among New Zealand shares were made by Northern Roller old and B shares and the unlisted McAlpine, all up Is 6d, Tattersfield, up Is 3d, and J. Nathan, up Is 2d ex dividend. New Zealand Insurance B and C shares and South British lost ground. Among overseas issues A.C.I. rose Is 6d and Repco and W. R. Carpenter Is. C.8.A., down 2d at 20s 4d, was the only fall in this section.
