The Hairdressers’ and T» bacconists’ Union had fioK become a section of the CtrJterbury Amalgamated Shbn Assistants’ Union, said t&r secretary of the amalgamgtw union <Mr P. M. Velvini yesterday. ' * The Hairdressers' and 'Tobacconists’ Union, he saij. had cancelled its registratiqsi as a union under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act. Mr Velvin said that the amalgamation would not affect the provisions of the respective awards.
