Lauder Scott continued in front until the straight entrance, where Fly- • ing Note, Avante, Great Credit, Meadow Scott, Van Rebeck, Stormlight and■ Florita were showing up. Lauder Scott was soon in! trouble and Flying Note' worked clear. Van Rebeck made a game effort to over- I haul him, but failed by a ’ length. Great Credit, after being a good way back most of the way, improved from the three furlongs, but made little impression. He was four lengths back third, a head in front of Meadow Scott. Lauder Scott tired to fifth, ahead of i Peel, Peebles. Florita. Sate Return and Avante. Safe Return broke at the i start and Stormlight after about half a furlong.
