TATTERSFIELD YEAR
Earnings Steady (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Nov. 20. Consolidated net profit of Tattersfield, Ltd., Auckland bedding and carpet manufacturers and wool scourers, was steady at £79,044 in the year ended September 19. The latest result shows a drop of £750, or 0.9 per cent, from last year’s record result. It is reached after provisions of £21,745 (down £745) for depreciation and £80,500 (down £1500) for tax. ll:e minority shareholder in the subsidiary company receives £15,704 (up £192) from this year’s profit, leaving £63,340 available for Tattersfield shareholders. To this amount is added £630 depreciation recovered on the sale of a property. Recommended dividend is 10 per cent on capital increased in December last year by the two-for-three Tattersfield shareholders. To bonus issue. Last year there was a 15 per cent dividend plus a 2J per cent fiftieth anniversary bonus. Dividend requirement this year is £27,500, compared with £2B 875 last year, and £26,708 is added to reserves Paid capital, all ordinary, was raised from £165,000 to £275,000 by the bonus issue
