CHAMPION FLEECE
Finest Judge Has Seen (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Nov. 20. A champion Merino fleece was described as “nearly perfect" by the judge at the North Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s centennial show, yesterday. The fleece, from a stud Merino ram grown on the estate of H. Gibson at Tarras, gained 99 points out of 100— dropping one point for soundness, Mr J. Ball, the judge, said: “It is the finest fleece I have ever seen.” Mr Ball said the standard of the 216 entries —more than twice as many as last year—was indicated by the reserve champion being only half a point behind the champion. The New Zealand and Australia Land Company owned the reserve, a stud Corriedale hogget.
Automobiles, trains, and even buildings, may soon be glued together rather than riveted, bolted or welded, according to the United States Department of Commerce.
