East Germany, the British United Press reported Twice this week, on Thursday and Friday, such action has endangered the safety of the airliners com.ng down to the Tempelhof airport. according to a United States spokesman in Berlin The Russian officer at the four-Power air safety centre in Berlin has been told that the action endangered the pilots and passengers. It is not known whether the lights were operated by East German or Russian troops Both have bases near the air corridors used by planes approaching West Berlin

No protest was made on Thursday because the action was thought to be accidental. A protest was made when the action was repeated yesterday.
