CALL FOR EXTRA EFFORT.—The British Prime Minister (Sir Alec Douglas-Home) calls for an “infinitesimal” extra 1 per cent of effort from everyone in Britain to increase production by 4 per cent a year instead of 3 per cent in a speech during the Lord Mayor’s banquet at the Guildhall, London.
