Water Display At Kairaki

Many of Canterbury's top water skiers will be taking part in a water sports at Kairaki Beach on Sunday. The display is being held to help raise finance for the Kaiapoi Community Centre's building fund. The programme will start with a V-formation of 10 skiers, and will be followed by one of the two cross-overs —one of boats and the other of skiers. Some of the features of the afternoon will be a backward swan, two pyramids, and men's jumping, which will include W. Flewellyn, the national champion the only New Zealander to jump more than 100 feet.
