Ownership
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Nov. 8. “Who will own it?” asked an interjector when the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) mentioned the steelworks project at his election meeting in Wilton tonight “The people of New Zealand, but not the Government” Mr Marshall replied. "It Is our intention that this be a private enterprise company and that shares be offered in small denominations to the people of New Zealand. “We are going to ensure that it remains a New Zealand company. We will have provision in the articles that the majority of the shareholding remain in New Zealand.”
