Kumai was a good second to Royal News at Gore on Monday. Rain during the week may have taken the sting out of the Ground a little. Kumat's best orm has been in heavy going The second leg will be the Flying Handicap, for which Hot Foot will be a strong first choice. She too has raced well under all conditions. She is likely to get most opposition from Jack Ketch and Janlea. both of which raced well at Gore. Flying Trix is also expected to show up. Rain during the week has had little effect on the track, which will be in first-class order.
