353 ENTRIES FOR BOWLS
806 Players In Singles (N Z Press Association) DUNEDIN, October 31. The New Zeeland bowling tournament to be held in Dunedin from December 30 to January 13 has attracted 353 entries. The teams represent all but one of the 22 New Zealand bowling centres. Pairs championship entries total 666 and the singles championship has drawn 806 players The first rounds of the pairs will be played on Monday, January 6. and it is hoped that seven rounds would be completed by the following Tuesday evening The preliminary singles round starts on Wednesday. January 8. and continues for two days.
