Last Flight On Sunday
If the T.E A.L.’s strike lasts a week it will affect two flights between Christchurch ana Sydney on Tuesday, one flight from Melbourne to Christchurch on Wednesday, one flight to Melbourne and one from Sydney on Thursday, one flight from Sydney and one to Melbourne on Saturday, and one flight from Melbourne and one to Sydney on Sunday next. The last flight out of Christchurch airport before the threatened strike begins at noon on Monday will be the 7.30 p.m, flight to Sydney tomorrow.
There are no trans-Tasman flights scheduled for Monday. If the strike lasts a week the only available flights will be Qantas's flights arriving from Sydney at 6 p.m. and returning to Sydney at 7.30 p.m., on Wednesday and Friday. Mr A. Gillmore, T.E.AL.’s district manager in Christchurch said yesterday that all nights remained as scheduled. In the event of any hold-ups, plans would be made to move those passengers who were booked as quickly as possible.
