ARAMOANA CHARGES

Reductions Next Year (NZ. Press Association) WELLINGTON. October 31. Reductions in passenger faces and charges for accompanied motor-cars on the Wellinaion-Picton ferry Arammna after March 31 next year were announced today by the Minister of Railways (Mr McAlpmci. The ordinary adult passenger fare will be reduced from 27s 6d to 22s 6d. and the fare of each child between four and 14 will come down from 15s to 12s 6d. Fares for day excursions will be reduced to 27s fid (adult) and 17s 6d (child), these being reductions of 5s and 2s fid respectively. Charges for accompanied motor-cars will be reduced by £1 for each vehicle. This means that after March 31 next year, motorcar changes will range from a minimum of £4 10s, for each car not more than 13ft 3in long, up t<j £7 10s for cars of not more than 20ft long. The additional charge of £ 1 for each foot or part of a foot in excess of 20ft will not be charged.
