8 Killed By Bomb
(N VIENTIANE, Oct 31. Eight persons were reported killed and more than 100 injured when a bomb was thrown into a gambling compound at a Buddhist fairground about three miles east of Vientiane at 2 a.m. today. Unidentified attackers fired several shots before leaving the fairground which was patrolled heavily by police. A heavy loser may have taken vengeance Large sums have been lost and won in the last few days during a week-long Buddhist festival to celebrate the full moon on "The Twelfth Month" The King and Queen of Laos have been attending the festivities The killer fled, but a suspect was later picked up.
