FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A cold front is moving slowly northeastwards over northern parts of the North Island. A south-westerly airstream flows over the South Island. Forecast:
Canterbury.—Mainly moderate southerlies; isolated brief showers along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and cool. Outlook: cloudy and cool. Marlborough.—Moderate southerlies predominating near the coast; partly cloudy, with cool to moderate temperatures. Outlook: cloudy
Nelson.—Moderate winds, mainly sOuth-west; some scattered patches of drizzle this morning, but mainly partly cloudy, with moderate temperatures. Outlook: cloudy.
Buller and Westland.—Light to moderate winds, easterlies gradually predominating; some scattered areas of early morning drizzle, but mainly fine cloud moderate temperatures. Outlook: partly CHRISTCHURCH READINGS
