THREE PERSONS INJURED
Car And Truck Collide Two young men and a young woman were injured near the Sefton township at 7.45 p.m. yesterday when the car in which they were travelling and a light truck towing a horse float collided. Miss Mary Pettigrew,. of Viewbank. Waiau, suffered head injuries, Phillip Kininmonth. of Somerfield street, Christchurch, suffered head and arm injuries, and Maurice Parker, of Waiau. suffered head and arm injuries. The three were taken to the Christchurch Hospital by ambulance. Their condition was not available early this morning, but it is understood that none is on the seriously ill list. The accident occurred on the Sefton-Amberley highway, 300 yards east of Sefton. An observer at the scene described the horse float as having been reduced to matchwood. It could not be ascertained last evening whether a horse was in the float at the time.
